Bye bye braids

It's been a good  9 weeks since I relaxed my hair and 8 weeks in braids...time to let my hair down I've been following a pretty simple hair care routine...i think it's early days to classify it as a regimen.

Washing hair procedure:
  • Add a bit of Olive Oil Creamy Aloe Shampoo to a bucket of warm water and apply the lather.
  • Rinse off the shampoo
  • Add to a spray bottle a tsp of Extra virgin Olive Oil, tsp Plain Avocado oil(my latest buy thank you Pick 'n Pay), tsp Miracle Oil and a tsp Olive Oil Replenishing Conditioner and I mix with warm water, shake to mix well and spray generously on the scalp as well the braids
  • Air dry my head
  • During the week, I sprayed braid spray on scalp and hair spray on the braids to keep them shiny.
It took me 3 days to undo my braids huge mission and it had to done. No one is quite gentle and patient with my hair as me, so I do my own thing.

Washing my hair takes some time in order to avoid a rushed job, I left it for the next day.
Steps I took when washing my hair
  • I mixed equal proportions of African Pride Olive Miracle oil, Olive oil and Avocado oil

  •       Put the bottle with oil mixture in a warm bath

  •  Applied the warm oil on hair and covered with cling wrap for an hour

  • Washed hair with ORS Creamy Aloe shampoo
  • Conditioned hair with ORS Replenishing Conditioner
  • Applied Avon Moroccan Argan Oil leave in conditioner
  • Put my hair in rollers....yes old school like that ;)

  • Air dried my hair
  • Applied ORS Oil Moisturising Hair lotion and used a roller brush to brush my hair
  • Applied T444Z on my scalp
  • Seal the moisture in with Olive oil and silicone
  • Viola the final product.

During the week I intend to moisturise daily  and let my hair down....enough of pony tails, they strain  my hair. Haven't thought what to do next, odds are pointing in the direction  off getting a weave on...time will tell.

Cheers :)
