Confessions

My hair mistakes...

  1. Exposed my hair to too much heat-where possible minimise the use of hair straighteners, blow dryers. Now that I know better I air dry or sit under a hooded dryer at the salon. Hair is protein in nature and excessive use of heat disrupts the bonds that hold the hair together thus hair breakage.
  2. Didn't wash my hair as often as I should. It is recommended to wash hair at least twice a week, I will confess with my tight schedule I can wash twice. Will dwell into it in coming posts. Bottom line is we wash hair to remove product build up, aerate scalps pore
  3. Retouching/relaxing my hair within 6 weeks. I stretched the time between relaxes to 12 weeks. When I do relax, focus will be on the growth only.
  4. Not trimming my hair...well my excuse is I haven't found someone I trust with my hair. Until then I will try and have protective hair styles.
Below are the hair products I use on my hair

My relaxer:
My maintenance treats:

Hair Rescue-Silicon, Avon Moroccan Argan Oil, ORS Replenishing Conditioner, ORS Creamy Aloe Shampoo, L'oreal Elvive nutri-gloss, Isoplus hair sheen spray, t444z, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, African pride braid sheen

I'm keen to hear on your story...share it.

Nurture your hair

Experience is indisputably the best teacher, my hair under went cycles when it was long and healthy to short and unkempt . This prompted a reality check on my hair care. I did a bit of research on how to take better care for my hair. Love your hair, take time to nurture it and you too can have good healthy hair and this is the sole purpose of the blog.
